The Government of Indonesia through the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy ( Kemenparekraf ) again participated in Vakantiebeurs 2014, the largest tourism promotion event held in the Dutch city of Utrecht on December 14 to 19 January 2014.
Travel market which is held every year always officially opened on Tuesday ( 01/14/2014 ) and was attended by the ambassadors in the Netherlands . While the present Indonesian Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy , Indonesia's Ambassador to the Netherlands and the Director General of the tourism marketing Kemenparekraf . Indonesia's participation in the 2014 Vakantiebeurs an effort to increase tourism promotion in order to increase the number of tourists visiting the Netherlands to Indonesia in 2014 .
Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy , said Nirwandar Netherlands is one of the important market among other European markets for Indonesian tourism . " Not only because of the historical ties between Indonesia and the Netherlands , but an increase in special interest tours are increasingly popular with Dutch tourists , " said Sapta .
Furthermore , Sapta said Kemenparekraf also encourage tourists from the Netherlands to visit the new tourism destinations in Indonesia more attractive than Bali .
Strategic places and special interests currently considered very important in improving the quality and quantity of foreign tourists coming to Indonesia . Seven segments of special interest also previously been identified that culture and history , nature and ecotourism , recreational sports , cruises , culinary and shopping , health and fitness , and meetings / conventions ( MICE ) .
Meanwhile, the Indonesian Ambassador to the Netherlands , Retno Marsudi said Indonesia's participation in this Vakantiebeurs besides an Indonesian tourism promotion efforts also strengthen diplomatic relations between Indonesia and the Netherlands .
" I am very excited to support Indonesian tourism promotion in this Vakantiebeurs event was attended by hundreds of the industry because of a variety of state and is one of the efforts to strengthen diplomatic relations between Indonesia and the Netherlands , " he said .
Vakantiebeurs held for 6 days was divided into two segments , namely trade show or special industrial and consumer day is open to the general public .
Indonesian Pavilion at Vakantiebeurs reflects Indonesia by combining traditional and modern elements as well as leading destinations of interest among the Dutch market , and displays images of various destinations in South Kalimantan , Sumbawa , Bali and Borobudur , Prambanan and Ratu Boko in Central Java .
In this event , 16 industries that sell Indonesian tourism package also participated .
