Former U.S. intelligence contractors, NSA, Edward Snowden, said he wants to return to the United States to resolve the standoff with the U.S. government over which he leaked confidential data last year. However, he can not do so until he is sure to get a fair trial.
"I think back to the United States is the best solution for the government, the community, and myself., But unfortunately it is not possible for the moment," he said through an online chat directly with the Time on Thursday, January 23, 2014.
He was not going to be allowed to defend himself on charges of violation of the U.S. espionage laws. "I have not had a chance to get a fair trial and there is no way that could bring me home," said this bespectacled man.
Earlier on Thursday, Attorney General Eric Holder said in an interview with MSNBC that amnesty for Snowden 's virtually impossible. When asked about his opinion of Holder, Snowden was reluctant to comment.
