Tata Motors Boss killed in Thailand

Karl Slym, Managing Director of Tata Motors Ltd, died on Sunday, January 26, 2014, due to falling from a height in a hotel in Bangkok.
According to the Indian automotive companies, Slym, 51, was in Thailand to attend a meeting of directors of Tata Thailand.

Slym, born in England, occupying the highest positions in Tata Motors from 2012 to recover market share and sales of automotive brands that are a part of the Tata conglomerate.

" His departure came as the company soon reap results through new designs and new gasoline engines for Tata is not winning, " said Anil Sharma , analyst at IHS Automotive, told Reuters.

Tata Motors has recently introduced the latest gasoline engines for passenger vehicles.
This year, Tata plans to launch a new hatchback and sedan compact size.


Slym led Tata Motors operations in India and in other countries, such as South Korea, Thailand, and South Africa, except for Jaguar Land Rover ( JLR ) owned by Tata since 2008.
