Ex-Israel Prime Minister Ariel Sharon Dies

Former Israeli Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, has died at the age of 85 years, on Saturday (01/11/2014). Sharon in a coma for eight years as a result of a stroke he suffered.
Over the past eight years, Sharon was treated at the Sheba Medical Center outside Tel Aviv. Sharon's condition reportedly deteriorated during the past week. Sharon served as Prime Minister since March 7, 2001 it suffered a stroke in 2006.

His son, Gilad Sharon, said, "He's gone. Away when he decided to go."

Having suffered a stroke in January 2006, Prime Minister Sharon is replaced by a (temporary) Ehud Olmert.
