German ambitions in Renewable Energy Process

German ambitions in Renewable Energy Process
Renewable Energy Process
Some time plainly German government ambitious set a target of 100 percent renewable energy process to satisfy national electricity needs by 2050. Germany gradually began to abandon nuclear energy and fossil.

Currently, the use of solar, wind, and water is still about 10.3 percent of the total electricity demand in Germany to reach 80 gigawatts (GW). Expert for the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, and Nuclear Safety of Germany, Laure Kaelble said in Berlin, that the construction of wind-powered electricity plants in coastal areas will be encouraged. Thus, the supply of renewable energy in 2020 will increase to 35 percent.

Gradually, the share of renewable energy utilization will rise to 50 percent by 2030, and finally 100 percent in 2050. At that time, the electricity demand will reach about 100 gigawatts. “The construction of wind-power generation will continue to be encouraged, while nuclear power plants are gradually stopped,” said Laure.

Currently, 22,287 turbines have been generating 29 GW of electricity. Last year, it completed the construction of 89 new turbines that increase energy 2 GW. It’s also replacing 179 old turbines with new turbines of larger capacity.
