Mossad is the Israeli intelligence service. Formation aims to maintain the stability of Israel's national security by providing early information about the threat emanating from the Arab League are more accurate and organized. A. A Brief History of the Mossad

Following next, declare Israel as a country officially on May 14, 1948, supported by the United States and the western world. Entering the month of July 1949, Reuven Shiloah propose formed a central security and intelligence agencies to organize and coordinate the activities of security and intelligence. Precisely on December 13, 1949, the President of Ben Gurion, inaugurated the establishment of the Central Institute for Coordination ( CIC ), which works to increase coordination between departments Shabak ( domestic intelligence ), Aman ( military intelligence ) and the political State Department, under the control of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or better known as Mossad .
Through the decision of the President of Ben Gurion, Reuven Shiloah set as the head of the political department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and became a special adviser to Secretary of State with the task of collecting and supplying information. The first task is to coordinate political department and the internal security and military intelligence. In March 1951, the President of Ben Gurion reorganized the Mossad with the aim of improving operational capability and to unify the collection of foreign intelligence information. Mossad began to break away from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, since when it is under the direct control and supervision of the Prime Minister.
B. The development of Mossad
Until now, Mossad is no longer under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs but directly under the Prime Minister, with the duties and responsibilities changed into human intelligence collection, clandestine activities, with a focus on counter- terror Arab countries. Mossad also conduct clandestine operations among Jewish refugees, ex- communists, the West Country and PBB. Mossad Office in Tel Aviv, known membership (1980) about the 2000s and more than half of the staff are based in the central office. Most of the former members of the Mossad is the Israeli defense forces . While the identity of the Mossad director barely known to the public, among others, Shabtai Shavit (1994), Major General Danny Yatom (1996-1998), Ephraim Halevy (1998-2002), Meir Dagan ( Sept 2002 - January 2011 ), Tamir Pardo ( January 2011 - until now ).
The motto of the Mossad is a Bible passage that reads " Because with guidance you can wage war " ( Proverbs 24:6 ), later changed to " If there is no leadership, there fell a nation, but if a lot of advisors, there is safety. " ( Proverbs 11:14)
C. organization Mossad
Mossad has a department consisting of :
1 . Department of collector / Collection Department ( the largest ), conduct espionage operations, with members scattered in embassies, consulates and other agencies, implement a cover name and cover job in field operations. This includes doing the cadre and recruitment of new members.
2 . Department of Political Liaison and Events / Political Action and Liaison Department conducted political activities and liaison with foreign intelligence partners which Israel does not have diplomatic relations.
3 . Division of Special Operations / Special Operations Division, or called Metsada ( executor execution ) sophisticated murder, sabotage, psywar .
4 . Department Lohamah Psichologit ( LAP ) propaganda, psychological warfare, and operations, both psychological and mental development doctrinal members.
5 . Department of Technology / Technology Department to develop advanced technologies for support of Mossad operations.
6 . Department of Research / Research Department make daily reports , weekly reports and report data collection, research, development of case studies and others.
