Vice President Joe Biden Leads U.S. Delegation to mourn Sharon
The United States government decided to send Vice President Joe Biden to represent the country to attend the ceremony in memory of former Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon . According to the White House , Saturday ( 11/01/2014 ) .

" I will lead the U.S. delegation to a ceremony in memory of Ariel Sharon , to pay homage to him and to show unwavering relationship between the U.S. and Israel , " Biden said in a statement .

" We send our condolences to the family and the people of Israel , " the statement added .

Previously . U.S. President Barack Obama utter grief over the death of Ariel Sharon .
Obama stated that Sharon is a leader who gave his whole life to Israel .

" On behalf of the American people , Michelle and I extend condolences to families most in the former Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon and the Israeli people , " the White House said in a statement , citing Barack Obama .

Ariel Sharon died at a hospital near Tel Aviv at the age of 85 years , after eight years in a coma .
