Rolls - Royce Motor Car plans to develop a production
variant of the car that they are today. One of the plans they are considering
is to produce a car with four- wheel drive . British manufacturer was
considering 4x4 car but still with the typical luxury car .
" Stylish luxury 4x4 car is a very attractive segment ,
and therefore we consider to develop the car , " said Rolls-Royce CEO ,
Torsten Mueller - Oetvoes . He was unsure if consumers have the same passion
with related companies of luxury 4x4 cars .
Even so , Mueller - Oetvoes stated the possibility of the
production of luxury 4x4 car that will not materialize in the near future . He
predicts the car front and rear wheel it will be sold in their showroom fastest
four years to come .
Currently , he claimed not to have a plan that is directed
to the development of the new car . Moreover, their factory in Goodwood ,
Sussex , England , has reached the limit of production capacity everyday car .
Today, he continued, the company still focuses to establish the position of
manufacturers in competition with other luxury car manufacturers .
The company is largely owned BMW 's plans to expand the
plant in operation today . They also said it would hire 100 new workers to strengthen
the performance of the company in 2014 . In 2013 then , they managed to produce
3,630 units of the car . In fact , Just a decade ago they were able to ship 300
cars in one year alone .
" We still have time because basically our production
plant is full, so there is no reason to rush ( make a 4x4 car ) , " said
Mueller - Oetvoes .
